Ingredients (serves 2)
- 160g thinly sliced beef
- 1/2 onion
- 1 green onion
- 20g pickled ginger
- 2 bowls of rice
- Simmered food seasoning 80ml
- 200ml water
How to make it
STEP 1 Cut the sliced beef into 3cm lengths. Cut the onion into 5mm widths. Cut off the root of the green onion and slice diagonally.
STEP2Put the simmering seasoning and water in a pot, heat on high, add the beef, skim off the scum, and add the onion. When it boils again , reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 5 to 6 minutes.
STEP 3 Add the green onions and simmer for another 1-2 minutes before turning off the heat. Place the onions on top of the rice in a bowl. Garnish with pickled ginger if desired and it's done.
