<Simmered food seasoning> Jibuni chicken

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • Chicken thighs 140g
  • 40g spinach
  • 60g Shimeji mushrooms
  • 15g carrots
  • Potato starch (as needed)
  • Wasabi (as needed)
  • Simmered food seasoning 60ml
  • 200ml water

How to make it

STEP 1 Cut the chicken into equal thicknesses and cut it into 6 equal pieces. Cut the spinach into 4cm wide slices, the carrot into 3mm thick slices, and the shimeji mushrooms into 4 pieces.

STEP 2 Coat the chicken lightly with potato starch. Boil the carrots until cooked through.

STEP 3: Add the simmering seasonings and water to a pot, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and start simmering the chicken.
When the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and simmer the shimeji mushrooms, spinach, and carrots separately. Cook the spinach and carrots until they are coated with the broth. Serve in a bowl and garnish with wasabi.
